There are no fixed rules for how to play this game but we suggest having one person read out the clues and the players must pass the pumpkin to the person matching that description, continuing until you get to the end of the clues and everyone remains 'in'.

So for example everyone sits in a circle and you choose someone to start the game. Read the first clue aloud, and the pumpkin must be passed to someone dressed the same as the person holding the pumpkin.

Then read the next clue and that person will then pass the pumpkin three times to their right. Continue reading clues and passing the pumpkin until you reach the end and that person is the winner.

You can award small prizes or candy to each person that gets passed the pumpkin or leave it as one prize at the end.
