Whether you’ve got a little bookworm or a reluctant reader at home, this bundle is designed to add a splash of creativity and fun to their reading routine.
What’s Inside the Free Summer Reading Bundle?
This bundle comes with three fabulous printables, all designed with kids in mind (but honestly, I kind of want to use them too). Here’s what you’ll get:
1. Summer Reading Log
Your kids can keep track of:
-
Book Title – Because every story deserves a little spotlight!
-
Author – It’s fun seeing which authors your kids love most.
-
Date Started & Finished – Helps them feel proud of how much they’ve read!
-
Number of Pages – A sneaky little math lesson, anyone?
-
Rating – Out of 5 stars. Will this book be a re-read or a never-again?
This log is perfect for setting goals, watching progress, or just keeping memories of the stories they’ve enjoyed.
2. Summer Reading Challenge (With Coloring Fun!)
Now here’s where the magic happens. The Summer Reading Challenge isn’t just about reading, it’s packed with Summer fun ideas!
Inside, your kiddos will find:
-
A list of fun and simple challenges, like:
-
Read under a tree
-
Read a book while eating a popsicle
-
Read a book with a blue cover
-
Read to a stuffed animal or pet
-
Read before bedtime with a flashlight
-
Each challenge comes with a cute little summer-themed coloring image, think beach balls, ice cream cones, sunshine, and more. As they complete each challenge, they get to color in the matching picture!
It turns reading into a game, and who doesn’t love checking things off and coloring as they go? It adds that little extra sparkle that helps kids stay engaged (especially on those "I'm bored!" kind of days).
3. Set of 12 Summer Bookmarks to Color
Okay, these Summer bookmarks are seriously adorable.

There are 12 unique designs, and they’re all summer-themed, think flip flops, watermelon slices, sunglasses, seashells and beach umbrellas.
Your kids can:
-
Color them with crayons, markers, or even watercolor (just print on thicker paper).
-
Use them to mark their place in their current reads.
-
Gift one to a friend (instant bestie move!).
-
Keep them in a jar and pick a new one each week.
Plus, they make reading feel more special. There’s something magical about using a bookmark you colored yourself!
Why This Bundle is Awesome (For You and Your Kids)
Let’s be real, Ssummer can be a lot. The kids are home, the days are long, and the screen time battle is very real. That’s why this bundle was made with love (and sanity) in mind.
Here’s why I think you’ll love it:
-
No sign-ups – You won’t have to trade your email address just to get something free. (I know, finally!)
-
Super easy to print – One click and it’s yours. Print as many copies as you want!
-
Fun for all ages – Whether your child is just starting to read or already diving into chapter books, this bundle works.
-
Boosts reading skills – Yep, even if it doesn’t feel like school, they’re learning and growing.
-
Creative outlet – Coloring the bookmarks and challenge pages makes it more than just reading, it’s also art time!
How to Use the Bundle
Here’s how I use this bundle with my own kids (because we’ve had our fair share of “I don’t wanna read!” days):
1. Start With the Reading Log
Let your child pick out a book and fill in that first entry. It’s fun to feel official, like they’re on a reading mission! I let my kids decorate their logs with stickers or doodles too.
2. Choose a Few Challenges to Try
Don’t feel like you need to do them all in one week. Spread them out! Pick a few to aim for each week and celebrate with something small, like picking what’s for dinner!
3. Print the Bookmarks on Cardstock
Thicker paper = sturdier bookmarks. Laminate them if you can, or just reinforce them with clear tape. Let your kids color one new bookmark for each new book.
4. Keep Everything Together
I like to keep the whole bundle in a folder or clip it to a clipboard. Makes it feel like their own little “reading kit” they can grab anytime.
5. Join In the Fun!
Reading together is such a simple way to connect. Read aloud from the same book or start a mini book club as a family. (Bonus: you get to color a bookmark too, yes, grownups can totally join!)
