Ice Cream Scavenger Hunt
It's time to round up all of your party guests and get them ready for an awesome hunt! You'll need bowls, spoons, ice cream scoop, toppings, sauces and mix ins. Once everyone is assembled show them a list of the things they all need to find before they can make their ice cream sundae.
All of the kids will race around, burning off energy trying to find everything (I'm sure you know how excited they can get when it comes to ice cream). Each time someone brings an item back to the table they will tick it off the list. The goal is to try to collect everything on the list in the shortest amount of time. If you have a large party, you could split into two groups to play this game.
Musical Sundaes
Set up a sundae bar with all the toppings and let the kids take turns being the "sundae chef". Play some music and they can begin making their ice cream sundae. They will need to be quick creating their sundae masterpiece as when the music stops their turn will be over.
Ice Cream Taste Test
Who doesn't love a good ice cream tasting? This game is played by blindfolding your guests and giving them samples of different flavors of ice cream to see who can correctly identify the most. Start with easy ones such as vanilla or strawberry then move onto more unusual flavors or make up your own combinations such as vanilla with chocolate or strawberry swirl.
Ice Cream Relay Race
This is a fun game which will get everyone laughing. Divide the kids into teams and give each team a bowl of cotton balls and spoons. Everyone must put on blindfolds. The first person in each team has to try to scoop the cotton balls into the bowl. Then they have to pass the bowl and cotton balls to the next person who will do the same thing. When everyone has had their turn, the team with the most cotton balls wins.
Ice Cream Dice Game
This is a fun game where the kids race to be the first to build their ice cream sundae. Each person rolls the dice and must follow the instructions for each number they roll. You can choose to end the game after everyone has had 4 turns or set a timer and stop the game when the timer goes off.
Pin the Cherry on the Sundae
This is a classic game that kids will love playing. To set up the game, you will need a large poster board or piece of construction paper with a picture of an ice cream sundae. Blindfold each child, spin them around a few times, and then see if they can “pin the cherry on the sundae/ice-cream”. The child who gets closest to the correct spot wins a prize!
Musical Spoon Race
This is a relay race where teams compete to see who can scoop the most ice cream. To set up the game, you will need a large bowl of ice cream for each team and a spoon. Line up the teams at one end of the room, and then place the bowls of ice cream at the other end.
On “go”, the first player from each team will race to the bowl of ice cream, scoop up some with their spoon, and then race back to their team. Then tip the ice cream into a bowl. They will then pass the spoon off to the next player who will do the same thing. The team that scoops the most ice cream in a certain amount of time wins
