Best Trampoline Games

Jumping on a trampoline is one of the most exhilarating experiences for kids (and adults!). Not only is it great exercise, but it's also a perfect way to let off some energy. And, with a little imagination, you can turn your trampoline into all sorts of fun games! Here are some of our favorites:

Trampoline Games

Fun Trampoline Games

Crack The Egg (Pop the Popcorn)

Choose one player to be 'in'. The other players sit on the trampoline holding on tight to their knees. The 'in' player then bounces on the trampoline trying to get everyone else to let go of their knees. If they succeed, the person who let go of their knees becomes 'in'. But if they fail, they remain 'in' for another go.

Simon Says

This classic game is perfect for the trampoline! One person is "Simon" and calls out commands (like "jump up and down!") while the rest of the group follows. If someone makes a mistake, they're out. The last person standing is the winner!

Hula Hoop

This game is all about coordination! See how long you can keep a hula hoop spinning around your waist while you jump on the trampoline.

Relays

Divide your group into teams and see who can complete an obstacle course the quickest! You can set up cones or other markers to create a course around the trampoline. Or, try passing a beanbag or ball from one person to the next in a line.

Musical Trampoline

This is a twist on musical chairs! Put on some music and bounce around the trampoline until the music stops. When it does, everyone has to find a spot to sit (on the edge of the trampoline, on another person's shoulders, etc.). The last person standing is out!

Trampoline Games

Four Corners

This game can be played on a round/oval trampoline as well as the square/rectangle ones. For the trampolines with no corners, you will need to mark out 4 spots with chalk. One person stands in the middle of the trampoline with their eyes closed. The remaining players can walk or bounce around the trampoline for a count of 10. Then they must find a corner to stand in. The person in the middle spins around and points to a corner and everyone in that corner is out. The game continues until there is only 1 person left.

HORSE

This classic game can easily be adapted for the trampoline. Everyone sits on the edge of the trampoline while one person starts by doing a trick such as a spin. One at a time everyone else must copy that trick. If they fail they get an H. The game continues with everyone taking turns at showing a trick. The game will end when one person has spelled out the word H-O-R-S-E.  You could also change the word from HORSE to something else such as TRAMP or TRICK

Memory

This is similar to the game above with everyone sitting on the edge of the trampoline while one person performs a trick. The second person must now do the first person's trick and add then add a trick of their own. The next person must do the first 2 tricks and their own trick. This continues until someone forgets a trick or does it wrong and they are out. Keep playing until there is only one person left.

Water Trampoline Games

Water Balloon Toss

Divide players into teams of two and have them stand on opposite ends of the trampoline. Each team will take turns tossing a water balloon to their partner, trying not to drop it. The team with the most successful catches wins!

Drip Drop

If you have sides on your trampoline, hang a water balloon from the top and have players take turns bouncing underneath it, trying to tap and burst the balloon. Whoever bursts the balloon gets soaked!

Water Gun Fight

Sometimes the simplest games are the most fun. What better way to cool off over summer than with a simple water gun fight on the trampoline. Everyone will have so much fun having a water fight whilst bouncing around.

Balloon Bounce

This is a twist on Simon Says! One player will be “Simon” and will call out commands for the players to do with their water balloons (such as “bounce it on your stomach or pass to a friend”) while the rest of the group follows. If someone makes a mistake, they’re out or if their water balloon pops they are out. The last person standing is the winner!

Slip and Slide

Set up your garden hose so that it sprays onto the trampoline, or you could set it underneath the trampoline so it sprays right through. The kids will have lots of fun bouncing on the wet trampoline as the water makes everything harder. You can also add some dish soap and turn the trampoline surface into a slip and slide. Everyone can lie down on the trampoline and slide around.

Ball Trampoline Games

Target Practice

Set up a few buckets or other containers at different distances from the trampoline. See who can score the most “points” by throwing balls into the buckets whilst bouncing.

Ball Sort

This is a fun game for the younger kids or you could turn this into a 'minute to win it' game for the older ones. Put colored balls onto the trampoline and assign everyone a color. When the timer starts everyone has to collect all of their colored balls in the fastest time possible.

Ball Trampoline Party Games

Poison

This simple game is always fun to play. Put a couple of balls of different sizes onto the trampoline. These balls are now 'poison' and the players have to keep away from the balls while bouncing. If a ball touches them they are out of the game. The balls will roll around unpredictably while everyone is bouncing so the players will have to watch out!

Ball Bomb

Have two players standing off the trampoline. They will throw balls onto the trampoline trying to hit the players who are bouncing. If you are bouncing you must try to dodge the balls while you are jumping. If you get hit by a ball you are out of the game.

Beach Ball Bounce

Have all players lie on the trampoline with their heads touching in the middle. Throw up a beach ball and everyone must keep it in the air using just their legs.

Trampoline Party Game

Now that you have some fun ideas for games to play on your trampoline, let's talk safety. First and foremost, always make sure there is someone supervising when children are bouncing around. It's also important to inspect your trampoline regularly, looking for any rips or tears in the mat and making sure all the springs are tight.

Make sure your trampoline is set up in a safe area, away from any obstacles or hazards. Teach your children proper bouncing etiquette, such as not jumping off the trampoline while others are still bouncing.

Finally, please remember to use common sense! If a game feels too dangerous or someone is getting hurt, stop playing and try something else. We are not responsible for any injuries that result from playing the games listed above. Please use these games at your own discretion. But with a little planning and safety in mind, your kids will have a blast bouncing on their trampoline all summer long!
