Halloween parties are fun, but there's more to them than costumes and candy. If you're looking for some gross and scary Halloween party games, you've come to the right place! We've got a list of games that are sure to get your guests excited (or terrified!)

Food Guessing Game
Try a gross food guessing game. Use five nontransparent bags lined with plastic. Put a different food in each bag: mashed bananas, peeled grapes, stick pretzels soaked in water, cooked spaghetti, and orange peels. Pass each bag around and have kids stick their hand in and try to guess the food. (No peeking!) Other foods can be used, especially if they feel slimy or squishy.
Another fun way to play this game is the Halloween Body Parts Game
A mummy wrapping contest can also be fun for Halloween. Party guests compete in pairs - kids get one toilet paper roll per pair, and adults or older kids get two. The objective of the game is to wrap your teammate in toilet paper as quickly as possible. One person uses the toilet paper to make their partner into a mummy. The first pair who uses all their toilet paper wins.
'Killer instinct' is a Halloween variation on hide and seek. Whoever is "it" is the killer, and as they find people they "kill" them. Once you've been killed you have to go to the cemetery, a designated room in the house and wait until the round is over. You could also turn into a ghost and help the 'killer' to find the rest of the players.
Halloween Makeovers can be such a fun Halloween game. Divide your party guests into small groups, and give each one a bag of makeup and face paint. One member of each team will be given a makeover. You can decide who will win this game. It could be for the worst makeover, scariest makeover or the most professional. It is best to set a time limit for this game.
At your Halloween party, try telling scary stories. On index cards, write lines that would sound good in a scary story. Then, in a darkened room, people take turns drawing an index card and making up a scary story based on the one line from their index card. As each person draws a card, they build on the story that the partygoer before them told.
This next Halloween party game would be better suited to adults or older children. Gather a bunch of props - fake blood, fake weapons, plastic skeletons, etc. Divide the props between two groups and have each team create the scariest scene possible. If the weather is cooperative, do this game in your yard so that clean up is easier.
The Good Witch
Test your friends this Halloween to see who's a good witch. Get plastic or rubber bats, and put a spot of color on the bottom of each. Then put them in a cauldron. Have your party guests sit in a circle. One person is the witch, and everyone else draws one bat from the cauldron. The witch tries to guess the color on each bat. Each player gets a turn as the witch, and whoever has the most correct guesses is the witch.
Next, we have the Eyeball Spoon Race. This one is a little less gross and a little more silly. Put a peeled grape onto a teaspoon and race to the finish line without dropping it. The first team to make it to the finish line wins.
Haunted House Scavenger Hunt
Now, on to a scary game! One of our favorites is the Haunted House Scavenger Hunt. Send your guests into a dark room or basement (if you're brave enough!) and see if they can find all of the hidden objects. The team that finds the most wins!
Ghost in the Graveyard
Another great option is the Ghost in the Graveyard game. This one is a classic, but it's always a hit at Halloween parties! One person is the ghost and hides while everyone else counts to 40. Once they reach 40, the ghost comes out and tries to tag as many people as possible. The person who is tagged now also becomes a ghost and helps to tag more people. The last person to be tagged with become the first ghost in the next round.
Trick or Treat Fear Factor
For this game contestants will roll a dice to see if they will get a trick or a treat. If they roll an even number they will receive a treat, or an odd number they will get a trick!
